The name is derived from a battle fought on this territory during the 100-years war in the 14th century. Batailley’s wine is an intensive Pauillac typically with blackcurrant and a robust body. Tasting notes – A beautifully smooth and elegant wine showing classic cedar and chocolate notes, with age it becomes very smooth and displays black pepper, tobacco and graphite nuances. It is well structured with ripe tannins, complemented by a silky mouthfeel and a long, lingering finish. A very aromatic Pauillac with great complexity.
