Tasting Notes

An expressive, complex wine offering a mix of plum, red cherry, dried fig, mocha, vanilla and hints of clove. The palate shows great concentration and structure, as well as a long and vibrant finish.

The grapes in this wine all come from premium sites in the Apalta vineyard in the Colchagua Valley. The Carmenère and Cabernet that form the majority of the blend are from pre-phylloxera vines planted in 1920 .

Press:-  “Big and rich, this red is filled with powerful flavors of blackberry, dark currant, black olive and dark chocolate that are built on an ironclad frame. Notes of cocoa powder and cream chime in as well, and the muscular finish lingers with hints of savory herb. Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.” –
