Tasting Notes

The nose is typical of a Gisborne Chardonnay in a ripe year, with stone fruit and melon overtones backed by a subtle creaminess from lees stirring. The palate is full of fresh fruit character, yet also has richness, weight and length.

This Chardonnay is sourced from a number of parcels of fruit spread over five different Gisborne vineyards. Gisborne has gained a reputation as the Chardonnay capital of New Zealand, and as such is the ideal region for an unoaked style, where purity of fruit is all-important
